Hello, my name is Avelyn. I am a Behavior Therapist (BT) with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am currently pursuing a nursing degree at Chamberlain University to further develop my clinical skills and commitment to patient care.
My education in Community Health, ongoing nursing studies, and previous professional experiences have prepared me to make a meaningful impact in ABA. Through my coursework, I developed a strong foundation in public health, behavioral science, and evidence-based interventions. Meanwhile, my earlier roles in mental health and community health settings further strengthened my communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills. These combined experiences allow me to bring a holistic, health-focused perspective to each child’s program and to collaborate effectively with families and colleagues at Marvelous Minds.
I am passionate about helping children thrive through Applied Behavior Analysis here at Marvelous Minds. As an RBT/BT, I enjoy creating individualized interventions that support skill development, positive behaviors, and confidence. I value building strong connections with each child and their family while using evidence-based strategies to help every child reach their full potential.
Outside of ABA therapy, I enjoy traveling to different countries, going on hikes, attending concerts, thrifting, and baking treats with friends and family.
