Licensed Professional Counselor

Hi, my name is Bre! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Iowa in 2024 (go hawks). I have always had a love for supporting families and children, knowing how difficult life can become at times for each member. My goal is to help you through these times in ways that feel safe, supportive, and even a little fun.

My clinical experience is mainly based in community mental health, residential treatment, and justice-involved youth. I have a strong foundation in supporting youth and adults in highly structured and high-stress environments, which has shaped me to become especially skilled at helping children navigate challenging behaviors, difficult emotions, and moments when feelings just become too overwhelming. I believe showing up for kids means thinking beyond one session at a time, and considering how daily routines, relationships, and community supports all play a role in their well-being. I love to create therapy spaces where anyone can learn more about their emotions through play, creativity, and connection, while caregivers feel heard and empowered along the way. Interventions that I incorporate from specific modalities include DBT, CBT, ACT, play-based and developmentally appropriate interventions, and caregiver psychoeducation. I use a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach and value collaboration with families to help their children thrive at home, in school, and in their communities. When children feel safe, supported, and seen, remarkable growth is possible.

When I am not in the therapy room, I love taking the time to slow down and ultimately spend quality time with the loved ones in my life, which also includes my big, pudgy doggy! I also love to stay active and keep moving- mainly through shopping 🙂
