Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience working with individuals, families, couples, at-risk populations, and victims of abuse. Since earning my Master of Social Work degree from Aurora University in 2016, I have worked as an Adult Protective Services Officer, counselor, and case manager for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, I have counseling experience with children struggling with behavioral and developmental disabilities from the age of 8 to 18.

My specialty areas include child/adolescent grief & loss, depression, divorce, anxiety, anger management, mood and emotional regulation, social skills training, mindfulness, dementia, communication (verbal/non-verbal), self-esteem, acceptance/self-acceptance, conflict resolution, and domestic and sexual violence counseling.

My passion for social work started when my son was diagnosed with autism. I wanted to help other people through difficult times and help them see a light at the end of the tunnel. I use CBT, DBT, and natural curiosity. My therapeutic model stems from curiosity and not judgment, which allows all of us to grow and be more understanding of ourselves and others. Everyone deserves to be heard, acknowledged, and treated with dignity. Change is hard and we sometimes need guidance and support to reach our goals.

When I’m not at work, you will find me telling “dad” jokes, attending comic conventions, or playing with my kids.
