I am a bilingual social worker experienced in working with children, adolescents, and teenagers. I come to Marvelous Minds with over ten years of experience working with refugees and immigrants in various settings, including clinical therapy. Additionally, I have experience working with people who have experienced or are experiencing trauma, and crisis intervention. At my most recent position at the Glen Ellyn Children’s Resource center I provided individual, group, and family therapy to children, tweens, and teens as well as ELL students.

I use mindfulness and strengths-based approaches to work with clients in a productive and empathetic manner to help decrease or better manage difficulties in one’s life. I believe the heart of therapy comes from creating trust between the client and therapist. Without trust, it is difficult to build that safe environment and positive therapeutic relationship.

I received my master’s degree in Social Work at Jane Addams Social Work School at UIC with a focus in children and families. I grew up in Glen Ellyn, and I really enjoy the community. I utilize treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness, relaxation techniques, talk therapy, play therapy, and strength-based therapy.

I look forward to helping you grow and to become the best version of yourself!
