How many of you have a daughter struggling to navigate the social cesspool that is the grade school playground or lunchroom? I have seen too many tears this week- and it’s time to do something about it!\u00a0 I am putting together an acute social skills group for girls (3rd-5th grade) that will start next Saturday, November 17th at 10 am. We are going to teach these girls some SOCIAL SURVIVAL skills!<\/p>\n
It will be led by Katie Biundo; MA LCP whose specialty is pediatric and adolescent anxiety.\u00a0 The focus will be on teaching explicit social skills to girls, 3rd<\/sup>-5th<\/sup>\u00a0grade who are struggling with skills like: reading social cues, making and keeping friends, and understanding unspoken social rules.<\/p>\n This is a small group format that will allow our girls to learn and practice these life-long social survival skills under the guidance of a skilled clinician, that together with the group, will provide real-time feedback in a warm and accepting environment.<\/p>\n The fee is $375, all materials included.<\/p>\n The group will run on Saturdays from 11\/17- 1\/05 (8 weeks)<\/p>\n Dr. Kymberly F.
