Occupational Therapist | [email protected]

I graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2002 with my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. I have spent most of my career working in pediatrics, with children and adolescents ages birth through 22 years. Settings have included private clinics, early intervention, and hospitals. My specialties include sensory integration, autism, primitive reflex integration, and generalized developmental delays. In addition, I have experience working with feeding challenges and various fine and gross motor needs.

My therapeutic style is very child-led and developmentally focused. When I meet a child, my first goal is to get to know their strengths and build a trust-based relationship with that child. Once this is accomplished, the child can feel safe to trust me to guide them through challenges and difficult situations. I believe that parents and families are integral to maximizing the effectiveness of therapy and I strive to include parents in goal setting, treatment planning, and home programming.

Outside of work, I am the second of 6 children and a mother of 2, ages 16 and 22 years. Some of my favorite hobbies and activities include swimming, going dancing or hiking with my husband, and relaxing with a good book.
